Founded in 1984 by Dr. Rufus Loud and proudly continued by his son, Dr. Rodrick Loud, our practice has been serving the Shreveport community for over three decades. We’re more than just a dental office—we’re your neighbors, your friends, and your long-term partners in oral health.

Meet Dr. Rodrick Loud
A Legacy of Service, A Heart for Community
Born and raised right here in Shreveport, Dr. Rodrick Loud followed in his father's footsteps to continue the family tradition of personalized, community-centered dental care.
He graduated from Captain Shreve High School, earned a degree in Biology from Morehouse College, and completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College in 2002. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Loud is known for his friendly demeanor, skilled hands, and heartfelt dedication to helping every patient feel seen and cared for.

Dr. Frederick Banks, Jr.
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Frederick Banks, Jr. brings a deep passion for dentistry, academic excellence, and a heart for community service to Loud Family Dental. A proud native of Minden, Louisiana, Dr. Banks graduated as valedictorian from Doyline High School before earning a full academic scholarship to Louisiana State University Shreveport. There, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and was actively involved in several honor societies and pre-health organizations, including Phi Eta Sigma, Tri-Beta, MAPS, and the Pre-Dental Society.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. While in dental school, Dr. Banks was a member of both the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and the Student National Dental Association (SNDA). His commitment to service was evident through his involvement in multiple outreach programs providing free dental care to underserved communities across the country, including Hope Smiles, RAM, the Meharry Salt Wagon Clinic, and Meharry’s Annual Oral Health Day.
Dr. Banks completed a General Practice Residency at LSU Health Shreveport, where he gained advanced experience in hospital-based and complex dental care. He is a proud member of the National Dental Association and continues to pursue excellence in all aspects of patient care.
With a warm and personable approach, Dr. Banks is dedicated to improving his patients’ oral health and quality of life. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, exploring new restaurants, cooking, listening to music, traveling, and staying active.
Dr. Banks is honored to serve the ArkLaTex region and looks forward to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
